my second entry for the 'dead silence' poster contest.

since my first entry was heavily photo-manipulated, i thought i'd go for a much more simpler, traditional look for this one.

stock from the supplied sources for this contest.
textures are all mine.
brushes are photoshop 7.0 defaults.

this is good ... the mistiness obscures a bit. the effect of the flashlight on the figure is excellent. you really work light well.

yeah, i'm not keen on the font either. but instead of downloading a creepy font where i'd have to give credit to the creator, i'm using photoshop default fonts since the rules say the poster has to be 100% your own work.

thank you! you're so observant! (tho we all know this by now) ;)

i tried something totally different with the lighting on this one. i made a separate layer, and using the gradient tool, went from up (black) to down (white), then found the blending mode that worked best. (the mistiness was a side effect of it).
